Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued a detailed decision confirming the bail of PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah in a disproportionate assets case. The court ruled that the NAB could not investigate properties already under discussion in the anti-drug court.
The decision of the Lahore High Court said that three days after Rana Sanaullah was released on bail in the narcotics case, the NAB issued a notice and asked why Rana Sanaullah was not arrested when he was in custody in the drug case?
The court said it was beyond comprehension why the NAB did so and kept the inquiry in abeyance. The NAB did not issue any call-up notice before getting bail in the drug case and the assets being investigated by the NAB have already frozen the ANF in the drug case.
The written decision said that the interim bail of Rana Sanaullah is confirmed. Rana Sanaullah should submit bail bond of Rs 5 million and ensure his appearance in the trial court at every hearing.
